Care Mama was born out of the longing for
home—specifically, the warmth and comfort only a
mother can provide. The idea sparked one Thanksgiving, 6,800 miles away from my own mom, during
a conversation with friends. We found ourselves reminiscing about family traditions and what it
would mean to have our mothers by our sides during the holidays. Some of us laughed about how
our moms never actually cooked a Thanksgiving dinner, while others lovingly recalled their moms’
incredible meals and the little things they always did to make us feel cared for.
But there we were, in different cities or even countries from our moms. That’s when it hit us:
What if there was a way to bring that sense of “mom” wherever we were? And so, Care Mama was
born—a service that connects you with a mom, whenever and wherever you need one.
We recognize that many women from the Boomer and Gen X generations, who spent years as
stay-at-home moms doing the world’s hardest and most rewarding job, are now navigating the
workforce. Yet, despite their invaluable life experience, they often find themselves in
underappreciated, low-wage jobs. We believe these women have so much more to offer the world.
Their talents, compassion, and skills are perfect for the gig economy, where their nurturing
abilities can truly shine.
With Care Mama, you can match with a mom for anything you need—whether it’s a home-cooked meal
that reminds you of your hometown or someone you trust to drop your kids off at school. It’s
more than a service. It’s the magic of a mom, wherever you are.

Lisa Saunders is a proud mom of eight and a true global citizen. From Brazil and
Europe to China and Japan, Lisa has lived all over the world, sharing her love of
adventure and learning with her family. As a stay-at-home mom, she homeschooled all
her children while also tutoring others. In China, her passion for education led her
to open and run a kindergarten for five years.
Now back in her hometown of Los Angeles, Lisa runs a successful Airbnb and works at
TJ Maxx. With her rich experience as a mom, teacher, and world traveler, she brings
unparalleled warmth and wisdom to the Care Mama community.
At just 22, Lorrie Brinoccoli made the bold move from Ohio to Los Angeles as a single
mom, determined to start fresh. Shortly after, she met her husband, and for the next
35 years, she dedicated herself to building a strong, loving family. As she raised
her children, Lorrie also ran a daycare and made sure a homemade dinner was on the
table every night—a testament to her tireless care and commitment.
Now, as an empty nester, Lorrie still brings that same energy and passion to her
daily life. While working full-time at Hobby Lobby, she continues to prioritize her
family, embodying the spirit of the Care Mama community.
